Dudhsagar Waterfall !!!

Just taking the name "Dudhsagar" means that the picture that stands in front of the eyes is the same experience when we see the "Dudhsagar" waterfall.

Dudhsagar is a famous place (railway station) in Goa. In the rainy season, nature lovers visit this place regularly. After the movie "Chennai Express" the Dudhsagar added in my buckey list and decided to go there. The journey by road was simple and easy to reach at this place.

If you are going by car, there is a yellow sign pointing in the right direction, which we saw at 11 pm and breathed a sigh of relief.

The Trail of Dudhsagar Waterfall

To go to Dudhsagar

The next morning we wanted to come here, so we started looking for a room nearby, but "Dudhsagar Resort" is the only place to stay in this area and there is no other option here. The road on the left-hand side of this board takes you to the railway station "Castle Rock". It can be convenient to stay in the houses of the locals around this station and these people also welcome you with utmost love and even abundant rates. Another option is to stay in Londha, a central location 18 km from here. There are lodges, available at good rates.

We got up early in the morning, had a heavy breakfast, and headed to Castle Rock. Along the way, we took juice, glucose D, chocolates, fruits, water bottles, and so on. Journey started by car from Londha to Castle Rock, which was amezing. Wow! The distant clouds descending on the high mountains! some small and big flowing waterfalls were attracting attention, The great view!.

Despite all this, the yellow board I saw at night was wondering when it would come. Finally, we arrived at Castle Rock Station. There were a lot of crowds. All the nature lovers looked very enthusiastic. We parked the car in the space outside the station and started walking on the railway tracks.

The beauty of the Castell Rock

The distance from Castle Rock to Dudhsagar is about 13-15 km. There are so many options to reach Dudhsagar. One is to travel by train from Londha railway station and reach Dudhsagar in just 20 minutes. (But there is no fun in it). Or you should cross the railway track by walking which takes 5-6 hours.

We started our journey by chanting the name of God at 9 in the morning.

The Castle Rock area is very clean and scenic. Anyone can easily walk on the road, on the hill, but it is a bit difficult to walk 13-15 km on a rocky railway track (I realized it at that time.) It is very important to take enough water, glucose D, chocolates, fruits, and most importantly, the morale to walk so far. Friends, but even the distance of 13-14 km does not seem difficult due to the warmth of nature, enthusiasm, and energy of the mind.

There are many nature lovers like you on this journey. The youngsters and the children and the elder people are enjoying this unique (trek) way. We enjoyed descending white clouds, greenery on both sides, large and small flowers, and the glittering railway tracks throughout the five-hour journey. Throughout the journey, we also experienced a drizzle of heat and rain, the cycle of soaking in the rain and drying by the sun continued till the end.

The real fun begins after the first few hours. The hills on the left side of the railway track and the clear water springs flowing in it captivate the mind. After resting for a while near this spring, we started walking again.

Many amateur photographers were also seen on the way. They were taking vertical, horizontal, side-by-side photos of the railway tracks. Of course, they must have seen something nice in it. It is always said that,

there is a beauty that was different in everything, only the seeker could see it.

You see many small tunnels from the British era as you walk along the tracks. These tunnels are still strong and sturdy with excellent architectural patterns. It seems that the witnesses of history are ready to welcome you.

After walking for about 3-4 hours, we came to a station called Karanjol. When we realized that there is Dudhasagar just 1 hour away from here, my reaction was "1 more hour !! Oh my God !!" After eating and drinking, we rested here for some time. It is not known when the bags filled with food became empty. But now it seems that Dudhsagar is, even more, fun to see the trains coming and going. Because some youngsters pretended to be Aamir Khan as in Ghulam Film and took pictures of the running car.

Everyone we met on the way and on the way back was describing Dudhsagar. Nearby, everyone was saying that there would be another 15-20 minutes away and was raising the hopes of tired people like us. There are strangers, but it was nice to talk to them and hear their experiences. On the way, we came across a large stream of water. We dived into that water and played heartily. That stream was huge, like the little brother of the Dudhasagar. From that, we were guessing about the size of our Dudhasagar. Walking in such a beautiful natural environment, one thing that comes to mind is that there is nothing in this world that is more beautiful than nature.

According to people, we reached Dudhsagar station in about 30 minutes. But when I heard that Dudhsagar is still 15 minutes away, I asked, "What is this ???" I felt like that and the next 15 minutes also started to feel like a lot. As we proceeded, a glimpse of this huge waterfall began to appear. At the same time, the sound of falling water could be heard. After that, however, I could not stop myself. We started running fast. At first, it seemed that there were very few people coming here. But as we get closer, the crowd was growing. Exhausted, tired tourists relaxing on the railway tracks, with a cool mood, welcomed those who were coming. The small shop in this place caters to your food and tea. We wanted to visit Dudhsagar, so we continued walking without stopping at this place.

A huge water stream

At last that longing ended and that Dudhasagar came before my eyes !!! Seeing this huge form of it, I forgot all about who we are, how far we have come, how we have come from, where we have come from. It seemed to me that these huge streams of water falling from the top of the mountain were falling from the sky. The dream came true. I could not able the huge fall in one glimpse. I was just steering that white fall and fell down with love with him. We all went in the meditation mode with this miracle of the nature.

After that we enjoyed tea and Vadapav, I embraced Dudhsagar and bowed down to this wonderful miracle of nature.
